What this is

Restaurants, delis, caterers, school and camp kitchens in New York State outside New York City are permitted and inspected by the State Department of Health or the county health department. The State publishes every inspection since 2005, one line per violation. This site puts each establishment on one record: every inspection, the critical violations and whether they were corrected — and, from the file of closed establishments, the businesses that operated at the same address before.
