## How to read these records

### Inspection and re-inspection

An inspection is the routine visit; a re-inspection checks that violations found earlier were fixed.

### Critical violations

A critical violation is one that can directly cause foodborne illness (temperatures, contamination,
hand washing). “Not corrected” means it was not fixed during the visit.

### Items

The item codes are those of the State Sanitary Code (Subpart 14-1); the record shows the most recent
critical violation in full.

### Earlier businesses at this address

Read from the State file of closed (inactive) establishments, matched on street address and ZIP code.
A match on address is a strong hint, not proof that two businesses used the same premises.

### What is not here
